This topic asks you to consider the 'far future'. Working in groups you need to construct an intelligent and entertaining presentation for the rest of your class.
What kind of technology would you really like to see in the future? Wouldn't it be great if .....?

| 1 | The task
- Working in groups of 2 - 5 students, create a presentation to share ideas about future technology.
- Presentation should last around four minutes, with additional time for questions.
- You decide what resources you want - sound, projection, multimedia
- You decide the location (within reason
)
- If you decide to use PowerPoint, you can only have a maximum of one sentence per slide, the fewer words the better...
- Additional credit will be given for imagination and creativity.

| 2 | Alternative presentation tools
Should you make use of Web 2.0 to move your presentations to the next level?
- Remember this task is partly about producing an effective presentation.
- You can use any software you wish as long as you can justify your choice (elements of L6).
- However, if you use PowerPoint, you are limited (see the above restriction).
- Consider the potential of some of the following Web 2.0 suggestions.
Can you discover any additional tools that would be useful?

| 3 | Inspiration
You don't even need these suggestions - you can just base your ideas on your own discussions. If you are finding it a bit tricky to come up with ideas, use the following resources to get thinking.
[Note some of these resources are on YouTube will is blocked in many schools - access these at home]

| 4 | Suggestions
- Try to make your presentation as interesting as possible - can you include any music, audio or video?
- Make sure your presentation has 'pace' and energy - make sure you grab your audience's attention
- Don't worry about your ideas - just try to be creative and answer the key question - "Wouldn't it be great if....?" What kind of technology would you really like to see?
- Make it personal - this is about what you would like - not what you think you should say...
- Can you present your ideas in a different way? Could it be part of a dramatised conversation? An argument? Historians of the future looking back to 2010? Try to be creative....
- If you are concerned about presenting - be positive, but also look for creative solutions - could you record a voiceover to play over your presentation?
